Capital Punishment (avril 1998) : Big Pun entre dans la légende avec son seul album de son vivant. Nominé aux Grammys, cet opus expose un rappeur latino d'une virtuosité époustouflante. Les critiques l'accueillent triomphalement. Jay-Z remporte le trophée, mais Big Pun inscrit l'histoire autrement: premier rappeur latino certifié platine, il fracasse les barrières et rappelle que le hip-hop n'a qu'une seule couleur. Héritage monumental.
